Boity Thulo Mourns Her Grandmother. Losing grandparents in such a short space of time, is heartbreaking. Just two years ago, Boity Thulo lost her grandfather. The two were pretty close bond. In her tribute to him, Boity stated her late grandfather and grandmother were best friends, and that his passing was far too soon and unexpected.
Now the multi-award winning rapper and entrepreneur has lost her beloved grandmother Lelo. In January this year, Granny Lelo, celebrated her 74th birthday , and Boity took to social media with a beautiful shout out. She referred to Lelo as her favorite person in the whole world as well as her angel on earth. Boity went on to wish her every kind of blessing from above.

Judging by her social media content, Boity is very big on family, more so from her maternal side. From her posts, one can tell that she is very close to her mother Modiehi and granny Lelo Thulo. She always celebrates them every opportunity she gets. Even on her reality show, Boity: Own Your Throne, Modiehi was a lead cast member, and Lelo occasionally made appearances.
