Zinhle Mabena Releases A Statement After Being Jailed For Attempted Murder. It is true that, there is a thin line between love and hate. Just a few years ago, Zinhle Mabena and her husband Robert Ngwenya, were thee couple. Now the two are involved in a serious dispute which led to the arrest of Zinhle.
The Isibaya actress, was arrested Tuesday night for an alleged conspiracy to murder her husband. During the alleged attempt which took place on the 28th of January, her husband’s bodyguard died. Zinhle made an appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate Court on Wednesday, 17 February 2021. She has since been set free after the court decided that more investigation was needed.
Zinhle’s lawyer Joshua Lazarus released a statement on behalf of her stating that the his client is a free woman and that the arrest was unlawful. Lazarus also noted that nothing plausible was provided to the authorities to link Zinhle to any crime including but not limited to murder or attempted murder or any conspiracy of sought.
“I act on behalf of Zinhle and confirm that she was unlawfully taken into custody yesterday but [she] is now a free woman after the NPA declined to place the matter on the roll, because of the preposterous nature of the allegations against our client,” part of the statement reads.
“All these mischievous allegations ironically come from her husband who she has recently filed a divorce against, and against whom our client has obtained an interim protection order,” Lazarus concluded.
