Sisterhood! Lerato Kganyago Comes Through For Ntsiki Mazwai
Sisterhood! Lerato Kganyago Comes Through For Ntsiki Mazwai. How sweet it is to see our female celebs coming together for a beautiful cause. Since the launch of her Flutter by LKG brand of pads, Lerato Kganyago has been on a mission to eradicate period poverty. The first batch of Flutter By LKG sanitary pads was given to young women in all remote areas across the country in 2020.
Recently the media personality and entrepreneur organized a virtual concert, in which other celebrities donated pads to charities of their choices. After hearing so many horrific stories of young women using leaves, mud, plastic bags, potato peels, because they can’t afford sanitary pads, all the self funded Lerato wants to see is women dignified, when it’s that time of the month.
This is the same goal that Ntsiki Mazwai has. Although, the TV peroality ad artist sometimes gets in trouble for dragging female celebs, when it comes to assisting women in need, Ntsiki always shows up. We still remember her amazing work at the beginning of lockdown when she gave to families who were in dire financial situations. She has also made it a point to speak out against any form of gender based violence without fear.
Yesterday, Ntsiki took to Twitter, asking where she can get pads at wholesale prices. Her mission is to do Girl Hygiene Packs for young ladies in Soweto. Without wasting anytime, Lerato stepped in and offered to deliver some pads at no cost to Soweto, which is also her hometown. The selfless gesture touched Ntsiki, who immediately made arrangements for the whole process. Now this is the kind of content we wish to see from our female celebrities going forward.
