Lerato Kganyago Hits Back After The Involvement of Cyril Ramaphosa In Her End Period Poverty Campaign Was Questioned. A few days ago Lerato kganyago, announced that she is working on a life changing initiative. The media personality and businesswoman aims at making sure that every woman is able to access some sanitary pads during that time of the month.
Today, (Friday 05 February), Lerato has organized a virtual party to raise funds for thousands of women out there. The likes of Mo Flava, Somizi, Ayanda Thabethe, Naked DJ, Ayanda MVP, DJ Lamiez Holworthy and DJ Sumbody are taking part in this initiative. All of these celebrities will each receive 100 Flutter By LKG Sanitary Pads to donate to any charity of their choice. Our first citizen President Cyril Ramaphosa, has also heard Lerato’s call.
One social media user though was not impresses with the president’s involvement in the initiative. She questioned why Ramaphosa would be involved in a campaign like this when he can easily use his position to end period poverty.
In her response, Lerato started that the movement is to create awareness of what period poverty is. So the role of the president address the masses, will be to acknowledge that he is aware that there is a problem.
