Larona Moagi Bids The River Farewell. A few weeks ago, news started doing the rounds that one of the main characters on The River is leaving the telenovela. A lot of viewers thought that the person leaving was Sindi Dlathu. The speculations were based on the fact that the award winning actress was recently promoted to the series co-Executive Producer of The River.
Surprise, surprise, the actress leaving the multi-award winning telenovela, is Larona Moagi. A lot of people never saw this one coming, more so since many story lines were centered around her character. The talented actress who played the troubled Tumi has confirmed her exit on The River. Larona thanked Tshedza Pictures as well as 1Magic channel for the opportunity. She also extended her gratitude to her family, friends and viewers who supported her work.

The River was Larona Moagi’s first role as she had no acting experience prior to that. At times, fans of The River complained that Larona was not a good actress. Former colleague Moshidi Motshegwa, who played her mother, constantly clashed with Larona on set, apparently the talent issue was the main reason for their beef.
