Love Island South Africa Host Announced. Reality shows have become one of the most popular TV content in South Africa. Back in November 2020, many people were excited when it was announced that Love Island South Africa, is coming to our shores. The reality show is finally here and the host has also been revealed.
Miss SA 2020 judge, Leandie du Randt has been blessed to bag the cool gig, and will make history as the first to host Love Island South Africa. Amog other things, the talented media personality and actress, is well-known for presenting the reality weight loss program known as ‘Slank’ and was the co-host of the live music program ‘Kom Ons Jol’ on kykNET. Leandie is also best-known for her role as Ivanka Gouws in the kykNET soapie, ‘Binnelanders’.

Love Island is a reality show that groups sexy singles together in a villa with the mission of finding love. The South African version will see as a group of single “Islanders” come together in a villa in Cape Town, ready to embark on a summer of love, friendships and ultimately, relationships.
Contestants must ‘couple up’ and those not chosen to be in a couple must leave the villa. The show plays out in real-time, with six weekly episodes showing the goings-on in the villa. Love Island South Africa is set to premier in SA on Sunday, 28 February at 20:00 on M-Net channel 101 on DStv. It is definitely going to go down.
