Dineo Ranaka Explains To Simphiwe Dana Why They Didn’t Use Her Song On Umzali Wam. A week ago, Dineo Ranaka made history as her two shows debuted on the same week. One of those shows is Umzali Wam, a series that shines a spotlight on the issue of human trafficking.

The telenovela has been received positively by Mzansi Magic viewers. Simphiwe Dana, is among those people who was quite impressed by the new series. However, she is disappointed that the show didn’t use her song, which by the way is also titled, Umzali Wam, as their credit song.

Tagging the lead actress, Masasa Mbangeni, Simphiwe said, “I’m not happy that Umzali Wam the telenovela that features @MsMasasa didn’t use my song Umzali Wam as their credits song.”

Mbangeni however, referred the message to Dineo, who explained, “The creative process lead us in a different direction@simphiwedana but it was an option thank you for the music.”
