Junior Singo On Being Unemployed For Months Before His Role In Generations: The Legacy. A lot of the times, when a person disappears from our screens, we conclude that they are down and out. Little do we know hat this industry, is ruthless. Quite a number of our child stars are left without jobs and struggling out there.

One child star, that we are very fond of is, Nathaniel Junior Singo. The talented actor, burst into the spotlight back in 2003 through the feature film, Beat the Drum. Other films he has acted in include The Wooden Camera (2003), Country of my Skull (2004) in which he played Samuel L. Jackson’s son, Red Dust (2004) as Madiba and The Trail (2006).

Junior also starred as Themba Manyani in the SABC2 mini-series Hopeville, from March to April, 2009. He then played Qiniso “Q” Cele, a single student who is introverted and an old soul computer whizz studying and majoring in business studies, in the Mzansi Magic soap opera Zabalaza. Junior also starred as Jabu Sithole in the 2006 TV movie The Good Provider, the second of eight films in the Heartlines series. These are just some of the roles he played over the years.

Unfortunately, it got a bit dry fro the award winning actor and he was left without work for some months. Junior who currently plays Mpho on Generations: The Legacy, showed empathy for those who might find themselves in the same situation.

“I dunno who needs to hear this but there was a time when I wasn’t on the screens for a minute. Like it was a dry spell fam. Nada! No job for months then…Generations happened. All I’m saying is…hold on. Your turn is coming. You won’t be in your situation forever. Hang in there” Junior advised.
