Zahara Among The BBC 100 Women Sharing Gender Based Violence Experiences. The annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence began yesterday (25th November). This is an opportunity many take to address, GBV issues and find ways to try end women and children abuse. Here in South Africa, the struggle is real, and we even have public figures, who are victims of abuse.
One of them is multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Zahara. She went through a sad experience in her twenties, and now Zahara is a survivor sharing her story and giving encouragement. The popular musician Named on this year’s BBC 100 Women list and has a message to other young women who have been abused: “Do not keep quiet. It will kill you inside.”
