The show has been entertaining us for 13 years, and it is not easy to part with it. There is some good news to cheer you up though. Phila Madlingozi will be making his much anticipated debut on, Rhythm City.
The award winning actor and musician, will play a gay character to shake things up on the show. Rhythm City have shared a sneak peek of his debut, and one can tell, that the young man is going to create havoc. On the clip, he is flirting with Mampho (Itumeleng Bokaba) and it is clear he is some kind of player, who will ruffle some feathers.

Phila’s CV as an actor speaks for itself. In 2018 he walked away with a golden horn at the annual South African Film and TV Drama Awards for the Best Achievement in Orginal music /Score on TV drama series for Isikizi Season 2. Beginning of 20202, Phila scored himself a role, on the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Queen. He played, Buntu Toto, a certified troublemaker and Schumacher’s brother.
