President Cyril Ramaphosa Sends Well Wishes To Zweli Mkhize and His Wife. Sunday evening, Dr Zweli Mkhize, informed the public that he and his wife, Dr May Mkhize have tested positive for COVID-19. The Health minister, described his symptoms as mild, and said he is quarantining at home and both he and his wife are optimistic that they will fully recover from the virus.

Many people took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery. Among the messages Dr Mkhize received was a tweet from president Cyril Ramaphosa. On his messages, Ramaphosa, wishes Dr Mkhise a speedy recovery. He also urges the nation to continue staying save to help the country avoid a second wave.

Khabazela, I wish you and your wife, Dr May Mkhize, a safe, restful and speedy recovery from #COVID19. I also join the Minister in calling on all South Africans to remain careful and do all that we need to do to #StaySafe and help the country avoid a second wave of the pandemic.

On Monday, the minister reported a total number of 703 793 confirmed Covid-19 cases, a total number of 18 471 deaths and a total number of 634 543 recoveries.
