Cyril Ramaphosa Sings Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s Praises In A Heartfelt 89th Birthday Message. Today marks Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu’s 89th birthday. President Cyril Ramaphosa took to Twitter to celebrate Tutu in a heartfelt shout out.
The president extended his warmest wishes to Tutu and also pointed out how hard he has worked for South Africa.
“Today we are united in celebrating the passing of another year in which we have benefited from the Archbishop’s wisdom, the bravery of his conviction in fighting for human rights, the warmth of his love for all South Africans and his care for humanity,” Ramaphosa said.
Desmond Tutu was born on the 7th of October 1931 in Klerksdorp.The Anglican cleric, theologian, and 1984 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist.
