Twitter Weighs In On Somizi’s Response To The Intellectual Property Theft Accusations. Many have been waiting for Somizi to clear his name after allegations that the Dinner at Somizi is not his original idea. Even before hearing his side, many were convinced he played dirty, after email screenshots emerged on social media showing that the show concept might belong to someone else.
Somizi has finally decided to clear his name, but sadly not many are convinced. In an interview clip with NewzRoom Afrika that has now gone viral, Somizi denies having any knowledge of ever receiving any form of communication with the accuser.
“I only spoke to him once. I think that was in 2013. He told me he wants us to do a cooking show. I’ve never seen any documents. It came as a shock that he sent me emails. Anyone who knows me, knows I am not an email person, after five years of no email I only have email again since two months,” Somizi said.
