Tweeps Not Happy With How Mbuyiseni Ndlozi Defines Harassment

Tweeps Not Happy With How Mbuyiseni Ndlozi Defines Harassment. Every single day in South Africa there are disturbing reports on gender based violence. No matter how many hashtags are shared on social media, the victims’ numbers continue growing at an alarming rate.

Having noted that, quite a number of our public figures have been very vocal about this issues. One example being, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, who spoke a few months back at the funeral of Tshegofatso Pule about gender based violence. On a surprising twist of events, the EFF mouthpiece, finds himself questioned on Twitter about his actual stand on GBV issues.

This comes after the vocal Ndlozi defended EFF members in Capetown who “harassed” an eNCA female journalist. On the video, some EFF members are not happy with the presence of the journalist, pushing her away and blocking the camera. Ndlozi dismissed this as not harassment, but mere touching.

But they are telling her that she can be here, but not allowed to talk to EFF members. It means she was trying to interview them I really do not see harassment here. Merely Touching her is not harassment. The touch has to be violent, invasive, or harmful to become harassment!
