Purpose of the Role

- Assist with daily store maintenance and operations

Key Responsibilities
This role combines sales, operations and customer engagement. Your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service and Sales
- Ensure the highest level of adidas service is given to every customer
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products
- Occasionally serve as a front door greeter during peak periods
- Use effective selling techniques such as add on sales
- Explain product features and technical information clearly
- Work toward achieving individual and store sales goals
Point of Sale and Transactions
- Complete sales transactions involving cash, credit and other payment methods
- Develop proficiency in the point of sale system
- Maintain transaction accuracy and integrity
- Follow company policies during all sales processes
Stock and Merchandise Support
- Assist with product flow from stockroom to sales floor
- Support ticketing of products when required
- Check received items against paperwork for accuracy
- Help ensure shelves remain fully stocked and organised
Visual Merchandising
- Assist in developing merchandise displays
- Follow display schedules provided by store management
- Maintain visual standards that reflect the adidas brand
Store Maintenance and Security
- Maintain general housekeeping standards including cleaning
- Safeguard company assets at all times
- Monitor the sales floor for suspicious activity
- Follow security procedures and SLAP guidelines
- Report any irregular activity to management immediately
Training and Performance Tools
- Participate in in store and digital training programs such as Atticus and AREA
- Build strong product knowledge to better serve customers
- Familiarise yourself with Power BI tools
- Understand store performance metrics including best sellers and slow moving products
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
To perform well in this role, you should have:
- A strong passion for retail and customer service
- Clear and upbeat communication skills
- The ability to use initiative
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Adaptability in handling multiple tasks
- Confidence in engaging and styling customers
Previous fashion retail experience is beneficial but not essential.
