Sicelo Buthelezi Gushes Over His First Award Nomination. The nominees for the 2020 Royal Soapie Awards has been released. Many are waiting in anticipation for the 26th of September to see who walks away with what.

Among the nominations include, Gomorrah’s Sicelo Buthelezi , who has bagged a nomination for Outstanding Newcomer. Ever since his first appearance on Gomorrah, the talented actor has been a fan favorite. He plays Teddy, a high school student with learning difficulties.

Other nominees on the category are Sicelo’s colleague from Gomorrah, Siphesihle Ndaba, The River’s Thembinkosi Mthembu, Richard September from Suidooster, and Cantona James who stars in Arendsvlei.

The awards will be recorded in-studio under strict safety measures with no in-venue physical audience invited whilst observing social distancing with very few crew members on-site for the recording.
