SA Black Panther Actors Pay Tribute To The Late Chadwick Boseman. On Saturday the entire world woke up to the saddest news ever. Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman sadly lost his 4 year battle with colon cancer. Tributes are still pouring out on social media over the passing of the US actor.
Boseman’s Black Panther colleagues here on South Africa also joined in to remember him. On the movie he played T’Challa, and his father was King T’Chaka played by veteran actor, John Kani. Kani described his onscreen son as an incredible young man.
“Meeting Chadwick, he immediately walked over and said hello baba. He said I worked in Cape Town a couple of years ago and they gave me a Xhosa name Mxolisi and thus been because my oldest son is Mxolisi, we began a father-son relationship. People say there was an uncanny resemblance between me and him. I got a call very early about 2am this morning, Chadwick just passed away and you think why am I getting this news, he was an incredible young man,” he said.
