A couple of days back, the Big Brother Mzansi Season III participant, actor and model announced his nomination at the GQ Best Dressed Awards 2023. This is undoubtedly the most stylish event on South Africa’s social calendar. BU was battling it out under the Best Dressed on Screen category.
This year South Africa’s best-dressed list has 13 categories with two of the honours, Best Dressed Reader and Best Dressed On-Screen Personality being chosen by readers. The winners were carefully selected based on their distinctive personality, individuality, and creative flair in fashion. Each of them possesses a style that weaves a captivating narrative, stands the test of time, and leaves a lasting impression.
Courtesy of his character as Vuyani, BU got the Best Dressed On-Screen Personality. The rising star is currently one SA’s leading on-screen actors as he plays lead on Showmax’s Original series Adulting. His fashion sense is what makes him one for the books, reflecting his charming demeanour with a love of the high lavished and branded lifestyle which he rocks well.
“To everyone that voted, Ngiyabonga🙏🏽 We won the 2023 GQ award for Best Dressed on Screen,” BU said in gratitude.
Other winners include Trompies, who go Fashion Icon Award. Lamiez and Khuli Chana emerged as the Best Dressed Couple. Best Dressed Young Creative went to African Ginger. Best Dressed Streetstyle was awarded to Dondelicious. Langa Mavuso got the Best Dressed Classic Style/ Man award. Kefilwe Mabote deservedly got the Best Dressed Woman award.
