Applications Open For The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Bursary Programme 2021. The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande, officially opened the NSFAS 2021 Application cycle, on the 3rd August 2020. Applications for 2021 funding will be done online via myNSFAS portal as per previous years.

Requirements

• Applicant must be a South African citizen;
• Come from a family with a combined annual household income of not more than R350 000 per annum;
• For students with a disability, the combined annual household income of not more than R600 000 per annum.

Funding Covers

• Registration,
• Tuition and
• Allowance for food,
• Learning material,
• Personal care and
• Accommodation or transport.

This year the NSFAS application cycle will run for a period of four months starting from August 03, 2020, with the closing date being November 30, 2020.
