Linda Mtoba Recalls How Her Absent Father Broke Her Heart on Her 4th Birthday. Childhood memories, should make us smile when we reminisce on them. Sadly some people have suffered so much trauma that they would rather the past stay in the past.

One individual, whose childhood had its ups and down is Linda Mtoba. Linda has always opened up about growing up without a father figure in her life, and we can all attest of how difficult that can make one’s life. Taking us back to her childhood years, Linda took to Twitter to recall how it broke her, not having her father attend her birthday when she was around 4 years old.

The talented actress, ambassador and influencer remembers this as the first time she has had her heart broken as a child. Linda expected her father to attend her party, or at least call to wish her a beautiful day.

“My dad not coming or even calling for my birthday. I waited all day for him and ran to the phone inside when it rang. My (mom) family had thrown me a party. Still all I wanted was him to come or atleast care enough to call. He didn’t. Maybe I was 4,” Linda said.

Linda also mentioned that her mother, was a young adult by then. At just 23 years old, she had to deal with a heartbroken daughter, who she raised all by herself on top of that. Thankfully Linda’s husband of more that 6 years, Steven Mayer, has healed a great deal of her childhood traumas. How Mayer is with their daughter Bean, warms Linda’s heart, and she is filled with gratitude.

Mayer also, often tells Linda that he just doesn’t understand how someone could choose missing out on the joys of being a present father.
