Rapper, Thulani Ngcobo, who is also known as rapper Pitch Black Afro, has been found guilty of culpable homicide by the Gauteng High Court. This is for the murder of his wife, Catherine Modisane, according to The Sowetan Newspaper.
On December 31, 2018, Ngcobo and his long-term partner Catherine Modisane were involved in an altercation after a drunken night out with friends.
Upon their return to the lodge they were staying at in Yeoville, Modisane slapped Ngcobo who then retaliated back. He ended up pushing her forcefully resulting in a severe head injury.
Judge J du Plessis maintained the State did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Ngcobo had planned to kill his wife beforehand, according to the report, adding that Modisane died of blunt force trauma to the head. However, the rapper was found not guilty of defeating the ends of justice and premeditated murder.
