Ntsiki Mazwai Counts Herself Among The Women Who Inspired Zozibini Tunzi
Ntsiki Mazwai Counts Herself Among The Women Who Inspired Zozibini Tunzi. When she was crowned Miss Universe in December 2012, the world stood and took notice. Zozibini Tunzi gave a lot of black young women hope that everything is possible.
The beauty queen won the prestigious pageant with her natural hair, and still managed to captivate many with her beauty and brains. Because of Zozi, a lot of people have shown much interests in local beauty pageants, more so with Miss SA which is in progress.
Outspoken TV host, poet and artists, Ntsiki Mazwai is one of the people who are vocal about such pageants. She recently took to Twitter to ask the nation to boycott Miss SA. This comes after a lot of people, including herself were left unimpressed with the judging process.
One tweep said that Ntsiki is only saying that because she didn’t make it to the Top 15 finalists. Well, we all know, Ntsiki never backs down from a twar. She reminded the tweep, “Women like me inspired Zozi Tunzi….Iv done my bit.“
