Ntando Duma Bags A Lead Role On A Popular Telenovela. If there is one show that manages to clinch the most talented and established cast members, it has to be Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, The Queen. The likes of Rapulana Seiphemo, Menzi Ngubane, Jessica Nkosi and Kuli Roberts are a few of the well known names who have just joined The Queen.
Ntando Duma is the latest well known personality to join the telenovela. The actress, media personality and singer will play the role of Mpho Sebata who is the youngest daughter of Hector Sebata (played by Rapulana Seiphemo) and younger sister to Thando Sebata (played by Jessica Nkosi).
According to The Sowetan newspaper, Ntando initially auditioned for the role of policewoman Georgina, which is played by Sibusisiwe Jili.
“I was so bummed that I didn’t get it, only to find out that God has planned a bigger opportunity for me. So they called me for a meeting via Zoom and to discuss a possible role that will be suitable for me,” she told the publication.
“We had that discussion and I got hired on the spot because they had already seen my audition when I tried for Georgina, she added.”
Ntando is not new to the acting scene. She was with Rhythm City before she left the e.tv show in 2017. We definitely can’t wait to see what her new role has in store for us.
