Masasa Mbangeni Bids Farewell To Thembeka With A Touching Message. Early this year Masasa Mbangeni announced the great news that her Scandal! character Thembeka Shezi is back. Although many came to hate Thembeka over the years, they were happy that the loved soapie is bringing back more drama.

Thembeka came back with a different vibe and fans loved that. She was all about doing great things for the people she loved, and this earned Masasa a whole new fans. Sadly after 10 years on and off on the show, Masasa is finally leaving Scandal! for good.

The character she played, Thembeka was shot and killed by her rival Mthunzi Mayisa, who is played award winning actor Bongile Mantsai. Scandal! paid a beautiful tribute to Masasa at the end of the show by going down memory lane to some of her captivating scenes.
