White Gold Wins Big At The Pan African Film Festival. Just a few weeks ago Refilwe Modiselle took to Twitter appealing to anyone who can sponsor her trip to the Pan Africa Film Festival to come forward and lend a helping hand.

The good news is that the actress and media personality made it to the US and her film also won big. White Gold won Best Short Narrative in the Oscar 2021 qualifying category.

Refilwe, plays the character of Mansa on the film which highlights the scourge faced by people living with Albinism. She shared the news with an inspirational note, “This is for all the kids that were made to believe they were never enough, or that they don’t fit in… Or that a person wouldn’t amount to societal expectations… This is for you child, this is for you black child.”
