I goes without saying that the show is one of the loved on TV at the moment. Viewers, the cast and everyone who worked on the production were left shocked by the news.

But whey then will a show doing that good get canned? Motlatsi Mafatshe who has been with the show for 10 years shed some light Friday morning on Metro FM. The actor spoke about how they got to know the show is coming to an end and what he thinks are the real reason the show is coming to an end.

“They could have done it gracefully. The majority of people, the actors, found out on Twitter. That is so distasteful. When a blogger founds out first that a show is going to be canned, Motlatsi said.

“For a show that has been there for 21 years, you would want to celebrate the artists. It leaves a bad taste that maybe the performers or the people who work there aren’t good enough.”

Motlatsi further went on to say that the reason the show is ending might be that the powers that be wants to rebrand and take a different direction.
