Content Producer Wanted At Newzroom Afrika. The granular content producer is responsible for disseminating granular content in respect programming or news. In doing so increases the relevance of the information thus driving increased engagements.

Duties

• Attends the editorial meetings
• Collaborates with news director, reporters and anchors and supervise the overall content and flow of the granular program/news distribution
• Gather information, stories and pieces from team members throughout the day and prioritizes
• Update granular content with messaging that is consistent and in line with on air communication and that will make the broadcast more attractive
• Select footage and sound bites to include in broadcast to ensure consistency
• Ensure that the content is editorially accurate, in terms of grammar, facts, images and videos used
• Ensure deliverables are within time limits and budget
• Produce breaking news reports
• Coordinate with Marketing Department to develop promotion strategies for upcoming newscasts
• Coordinate with other departments in Broadcasting to ensure granular material is effectively used for the roll-out of various campaigns 
• Perform research on Local, National and International affairs to stay updated with current events
• Align Strategy with Market trends
• Increase multiplatform viewership

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a media/granular content producer
• Solid experience with digital technology
• In-depth understanding of the production process
• Familiarity with camera operation, sound systems and music editing
• Ability to create, proofread and edit pieces
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Communication skills
• Ability to perform efficiently under pressure, Relevant degree in journalism
