10 Biggest Celebrity Scandals Of The Year. They entertain us on a daily basis, but there are moments when their lives take a wrong turn. 2017 saw a lot of our celebrities do things that left us with jaws dropped. The following 1o incidents are still cast in our memories. Check them out below.

1. Tumi Morake

Comedian and media personality Tumi Morake was accused of making racial remarks during her breakfast show on Jacaranda FM. This comes after Morake allegedly said white people were the bullies on the playground who stole the black people’s bicycle and “instead of being punished for this deed, they only have to share the bicycle and play together”. She also landed in hot water after making remarks about down syndrome on her show earlier this year.

2. Emtee

Black Twitter had a field day the time Emtee accidentally bared his manhood in an Instagram live video. The clip, which made waves on social media, featured the “Roll Up” star speaking to his 739 000 followers in the act of relieving himself when he clumsily films his member as he attempts to multi-task aiming and recording.

3. Dineo Ranaka

Emtee’s manhood also landed Dineo in hot water. Just when we thought her bad girl days are over, she strikes again. The Metro FM presenter chatted to rapper Emtee about the manhood incident. She used the word penis and the station’s listeners took to Twitter to complain that it was too early in the day for her to say the word on air, with some going as far as telling her she was being “rude.”

4. Phindi Gwala And Jessica Nkosi

Former besties, Jessica Nkosi and Phindile Gwala were trolled for flashing money and hanging with bling bandit member. In a video that went viral Phindile Gwala is seen adding salt & pepper on a stack of money whilst Jessica Nkosi is seen recording the video. A man opposite them is also seen recording what Phindi is doing whilst boasting that they’re “chewing cash.”

5. Somizi

The outspoken Somizi landed in hot water during the SAMAs ceremony. This is after he said: “We are almost at the end of the show and there’s an amazing after party, free bar…where is Zahara ( audience roars in laughter). She’s probably at the bar already”. The joke, however, earned him a lawsuit threat.

6. Bonang

Bonang’s book, Bonang: A to B, made waves as it got recalled. The book contained numerous grammatical errors, so many that Twitter quipped the star published her book in “Binglish”, instead of English.  There was also the drama with Somizi slamming the bit about him as fictitious. Bonang relaunched her book and removed all Somizi and Euphonik references.

7. Riky Rirk

On a not so cool note, rapper Riky Rick teased a teenager in a Braamfontein store for wearing fake designer shoes. A video of the incident went viral on social media where Riky is seen mocking the teenager for wearing fake Balenciaga shoes. Mzansi was not impressed, and roasted him on Twitter. He responded to the outrage of the whole altercation telling his followers to not “be sensitive”.

8. Zodwa

Zodwa and scandals are intertwined like Siamese twins. The entertainer was lambasted by former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe for not wearing underwear and banned her from participating at official government events. Zodwa also made waves with her revealing Durban July outfit.

9. Ntsiki Mazwai

Well controversy might as well be Ntsiki’s middle name. She has done it all this year. The most outstanding one though is when she accused former Kwaito star Brickz of rape. She claimed the incident took place “many years ago” at a birthday party and that she was unsure whether she could still open a case of rape against him.

10. Mbulelo Ndlazilwana

Scanda actor, Mbulelo Ndlazilwana, who plays Scelo in the soapie, was nabbed in a brothel in May this year. It happened when cops swooped on the sex den and took 17 persons into custody. Mbulelo was one of the suspects, and appeared in the East Rand court
