“Stop Killing Us” Miss SA Zozibini Tunzi Pleads With South African Men. Another woman has lost her life at the hands of a man. After a long search of UCT Student Uyinene Mrwetyana, a man has been arrested in connection with her rape and murder.
Twitter is raging with fury the news broke. Celebrities as well joined in and spoke about the femicide in SA. Miss SA 2019 Zozibini Tunzi also expressed her feelings on the matter. She said women in this country are an endangered species.
“Someone asked me in an interview a few days ago if I thought we had a successful women’s month this year? And I thought to myself- how? When we’re dying for being women. As far as I’m concerned, women in my country are an endangered species. Stop killing us,” Zozibini said.
