“Let’s Go Back to Virginity Testing,” Nelisiwe Sibiya Touched By Misconduct Among the Youth

“Let’s Go Back to Virginity Testing,” Nelisiwe Sibiya Touched By Misconduct Among the Youth. South Africa has one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancy globally. Children as young as 10 years old are falling pregnant, and this is a course for concern.

One individual who is touched by this is Nelisiwe Sibiya. The award winning actress, musician and entrepreneur advocates for young women, good morals as mental health. Seeing young children engaging in sexual relations and having kids pains her.

Nothing pains me like this. It is known that I am one person who loudly advocate for young women, ukuziphatha kahle and mental health.

If there’s one thing I feel so much in my bone that I need to take part on – it’s this. I feel like ngiphathisiwe to help young women not to fall into this trap. So many young kids ( I am taking about 10/11/12/13 year olds) are getting pregnant and are having Caesarean section because they are too young and at risk to give birth natural,” Nelisiwe said.

Nelisiwe called on for the youth to have high moral standards. She also asked for the elderly to step in with sex education to young one. Nelisiwe also believed that virginity testing can help the youth.

Okay here’s a thing about teenage pregnancy, emotionally most young mothers are not mature enough and they end up not becoming the parents their kids need because I mean they also still kids and that’s when we end up having a generation with so much depression and unbalanced emotional health because of how they grew up.

So to avoid a lost generation we must ACT NOW!

Okay let me end here because I am becoming emotional about this. @kzn_education @departmentofhealth_za PLEASE HEAR ME OUT 🙏🏾,”
Neliswe added.
