This international concern requires the services of a skilled well-spoken Communications Specialist to handle the Media
Requirements:
Matric/ Grade 12 certificate
Diploma relevant to the role i.e. Communication / Marketing / Public Relations
• A valid fitness certificate
• A valid driver’s license
• Interpersonal skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Detail Consciousness
• Conflict handling skills
• Time management skills
• Computer literacy
Communication contact:
Primary communication contact person
• Provide day-to-day communication advice
• Provide communication support for business priorities
Communication Channels:
• Select appropriate communication channels
• Coordinate distribution of communication materials
• Develop content for various communication actions
Intranet:
• Serve as designer and editor of intranet
• Gather content and write articles
• Archive information that becomes out of date
• Read and copy edit web content to meet standards for style and grammar
• Maintain and update intranet editorial guide
• Ensure that information on intranet is accurate, up-to-date, and consistently refreshed
Writing:
• Write news articles, headlines, promotional material
• Transform existing copy to meet specific needs for intranet environment
• Work with business areas to shape and gather content
Execution of engagement strategy:
Execute communication strategy around corporate strategy, business objectives, teammate engagement strategy, internal values and status updates
• Designing enterprise-wide surveys to monitor satisfaction and gather feedback
• Execute communication and change management strategies for small and large scale initiatives
Media inquiries:
• Manage the fulfilment of media inquiries, providing general information when requested
• Forwarding interview requests to the relevant person
Press kits and information:
• Draft info fact sheets and “frequently asked questions” to support media relations activities
• Prepare and maintain updated press kitsCustomer relations and stakeholder communication support:
• Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers responsible to ensure business needs are met and employees are satisfied.
• Provide communication support to all stakeholders including Union Executive Branch Committee
• Must be a resident of Pretoria or surrounding area
