Proofreader Wanted At M&C Saatchi Abel. The JHB Agency is looking for an experienced Proofreader to join their team and be part of an audacious vision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proofing, and editing written and digital content in a fast-paced agency environment.
The Two Critical Aspects For Success:
- An excellent command of English as a 1st language.
- A natural perfectionist who is meticulous and has an obsession for detail.
Responsibilities
- Proofreading work for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, consistency, and brand voice.
- Cross–checking references and data to ensure the accuracy of content.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years in a similar role, along with the following:
- Computer proficiency
- Detail oriented –whether on paper or on-screen, you’ll need to have a knack for catching the most basic of errors.
- Quick reader – with deadlines always around the corner, you’ll read and edit quickly without sacrificing quality
- Multitasker – as your priorities may change from day to day, so you will need to be both flexible and persistent in your pursuit of the perfect copy
