Weather News Readers Wanted At SABC. Freelance weather presenters required for the following TV news bulletins:

1. Xitsonga
2. Tshivenda
3. Isizulu
4. Isixhosa
5. Isindebele
6. Setswana
7. Sepedi
8. Sesotho
9. Siswati
10. English
11. Afirkaans

Main Purpose Of Role:-

Presentation of weather shows “live” on television news

Key Accountabilities:-

• Interpret weather maps for live television news broadcasts
• Alert and warn viewers about severe weather conditions
• Present weather reports “live” on television;
• Do live interviews with fellow presentors

Minimum Requirements:-

• Undergraduate qualification in, journalism, media studies or related field
• Added advantage Meteorologist/Geography degree
• Good command of the first language
• Television presenting skills
• General knowledge of weather conditions/patterns
