Overview of the Role
Clicks Group is offering a permanent Shop Assistant / Cashier position at Northam Plaza, Limpopo. Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage all operational activities at the point of sale, including scanning merchandise and processing payments accurately
• Handle cash safely and maintain accountability at all times
• Promote Clicks’ Clubcard, enrolling new members and achieving participation targets
• Inform customers about current promotions to drive sales while ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Deliver superior customer service, acting as a brand ambassador with friendly and professional interactions
• Maintain merchandising and housekeeping standards in line with store policies and visual guidelines
• Stay updated on product ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Basic maths and numeracy skills for accurate transaction processing
• Understanding of retail/FMCG operations, merchandising, and promotions
• Knowledge of stock management procedures and customer service excellence
• Planning and organising skills with strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and computer literacy

• Ability to relate and network with colleagues and customers
• Adherence to procedures while delivering results and meeting customer expectations
• Persuasion, influencing, and coping with pressures are desirable traits

Minimum Requirements

• Essential: Grade 12
• Desirable: Grade 12 Maths and English at 50% or higher
• Experience in a customer-facing role within retail or FMCG environments is advantageous
