Among them are veteran actresses Bonnie Mbuli and Nokuthula Mavuso. Bonnie explained that when a light skinned actress gets turned down a role,it’s probably because the role is not that glamorous.

Nokuthula also shared her views on the issue. “I work damn hard. And it’s a minefield out there for actresses like me,” she said.
