SA Celebs Livid As IAAF Says Caster Semenya Can Compete With Men. The more she gets attacked, the more support she gets in the country and outside. The latest development on Caster Semenya’s case has left many shocked.
Responding to a letter from the World Medical Association, the IAAF said athletes like her are welcome to enter men’s events. According to the association, female athletes with high testosterone levels that participate in the 400m hurdles, 800m and 1 500m and mile would be welcome to compete with male athletes if they’re not comfortable taking medicine to lower their testosterone levels.
The nation as well as some public figures are fuming at this response. One of those not impressed is comedian and TV host Trevor Noah. He spoke on the Daily Show suggesting that Semenya was being targeted for being “too good”. Other celebs like Azania and Ntiki Mazwai also shared their opinions on the IAAF response.
