Job Overview

The Service Advisor is responsible for overseeing all point of sale operations and ensuring smooth customer transactions. You will supervise cashiers and shop assistants, manage staffing schedules and ensure compliance with company procedures. The role requires strong leadership skills, operational control and the ability to resolve customer queries quickly and professionally. You will also support stock control, cash handling and promotional execution. This role is central to maintaining service excellence and operational efficiency within the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control all point of sale operations efficiently
• Ensure fast and accurate customer service at checkout points
• Supervise and support cashiers and shop assistants
• Ensure proper staffing levels according to schedules and store needs
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
• Promote Clicks ClubCard to drive participation targets
• Maintain strong cash control and reduce risk of shrinkage
• Oversee stock handling, returns and security procedures
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping and store presentation
• Monitor compliance with company policies and retail procedures
• Train and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service
• Maintain updated knowledge of products, promotions and store activities
• Support operational planning and daily store execution

Requirements And Skills

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Retail or Business Management qualification (advantageous)
• Strong retail or FMCG experience
• Good understanding of point of sale operations
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Target driven and results focused mindset
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Computer literacy and basic numeracy skills
