The department of military veterans is an equal opportunity affirmative action employer. They currently seeking interns.

NonRSA Citizens/Permanent Resident Permit Holders must attach a copy of his/her Permanent Residence Permit to his/her application. Should you be in possession of a foreign qualification, it must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).

Short listed candidates will be subjected to screening and security vetting to determine the suitability of a person for employment.

Successful candidates will also be subjected to security clearance processes.

Successful candidates will be appointed on a probation period of twelve (12) months.

POST 06/60 : INTERNS 2 POSTS REF NO: 006/2015

Directorate: Research & Policy Development
SALARY : R5000.00 (STIPEND)
CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must be in possession of National Diploma/Degree in Social Science and Development Studies.

DUTIES : Resource Centre Administration: Manage the resources and Library System.
Pro-vide general administrative support, photocopying, faxing and filling of documents. Cataloguing and classification of resources collections, Research and update on recent publication, Procurement for the resources centre and manage military veterans collections. Research Administration: Provide administration support for research, manage daily office of the research and provide general administration support e.g photocopying, faxing and filling of documents. Provide logistical sup-port to the office and make bookings for travelling and accommodation. Update the Director’s diary and manage research calendar.

REQUIREMENTS : LLB Law/B Proc or equivalent.

DUTIES : The incumbent will be required to perform the following duties assist with the preparations of files for the provision of litigation services, assist with the day to day running of the office including office administra-tion, assist with the provision of due diligence on contracts, assist with the provision of compliance with the law, ensure that reports of the Directorate are completed and signed in accordance with the Departments’ timelines and assist with drafting and review of legislation where necessary.

REQUIREMENTS : National Diploma/ Degree in Internal Auditing/ LLB

DUTIES : Manage compliance processes in branch-es, ensuring that policies are available to staff members, communicate the process of compliance function in the branches in which they are developed. Monitor and report compliance status of the branches to the compliance head and documents the findings if noncompliance by the branches and report to the compliance head.
