SA Actors Say Enough Is Enough!

SA Actors Say Enough Is Enough! Local actors are taking their grievances to an upper level. Jack Devnarain who is the chairman of South African Guild of Actors as well as a few actors will be in Parliament this week to lobby for law amendments in terms of protection of actors rights under the Performers Protection Act bill.
Using the #IamActorSA some few actors took to Twitter to show their support for the cause. Sadly it is a small number compared to the many actors we are exposed to on a daily basis in out television sets.
Florence Masebe
I have had my pinned tweet since November 2017. This Thursday I will be in @ParliamentofRSA to speak my truth as a South African actor, urging our lawmakers to pass the Performers Protection Amendment Bill.

JT Medupe
Hi, my name is JT Medupe and I am an actor! It is 2018 and I still do not have the right to own my image or to share in the profits of its distribution. We need to change this. That is why I support SAGA’s submission to adopt the Performers Protection Amendment Bill. #SAGAforPPAB pic.twitter.com/RxcSq4Xbs7
