Brickz Sentencing Moved To October

Brickz Sentencing Moved To October. This morning Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court was full as people came to witness the sentencing of Kwaito artist Brickz. Brickz whose real name is Sipho Charles Ndlovu’s rape sentencing has been postponed to October 17 2017.

In July, Brickz was found guilty of raping his 16-year-old niece, at his home in November 2013. Ndlovu was arrested in November 2013 and had been out on R50 000 bail throughout the trial. The musician will remain in custody until October 17 when sentencing will resume.

Defense attorney Piet Du Plessis for Brickz told the court not to hand down a sentence merely to satisfy the outcry of society, which may not be rational. As part of the argument in court, the Defence reminded the court that Brickz is already serving his punishment for disappointing his fans and destroying his musical career.
