Applications Open For The Maps Maponyane Pearson Institute Bursary. The Bursary will cover full tuition for one student for a full year, up to the value of R75000.
1. General information
1.1Submission Dates
The deadline for submission of applications is 9 July 2018. No late applications will be considered. Applications must be submitted either online via email to [email protected] or to the relevant campus .The application will be reviewed and considered by the Bursary Selection Committee for final approval. Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview with the Bursary Selection Committee before a final decision is made.
1.2 Qualifying Candidates
Applications for bursaries are considered only from South African citizens who intend to study full time towards degree qualifications on offer at any of the Pearson Institute/CTI campuses. *Dependant on offering of the preferred campus for the Mid-Year intake.
The applicant must meet the minimum entrance requirements for the specific qualification he or she wishes to study and have obtained a senior certificate or equivalent school leaving certificate, accompanied by a SAQA certificate of equivalence and/or USAF exemption certificate.
A student who enrols for special courses, short learning programs, Higher Certificate, or Foundation programs does not qualify for these awards.
1.3 Submitting Your Pearson Bursary Application Form
Scholarships are awarded on a year to year basis and an application has to be submitted every year.
1.4 Process
Application forms with incomplete information will be disqualified. No faxed application forms will be accepted. Read carefully before completing, signing or submitting this form and ensure that this form is completed in full.

Complete in block letters, initial each page and fully sign the last page.
Please note: This Pearson Bursary cannot be used to pay for existing loans or debts.
1.5 Requirements
Attach all of the following documents:
•Certified copy of a valid senior certificate or equivalent (if you have completed Grade 12)
•Certified copy of a valid South African identity document
•Submit completed forms (or hand deliver) to your respective campus
Applications received after the closing date will not be considered
1.6 Criteria
The awards will be made at the sole discretion of Pearson, based on the following criteria:
1. The candidate passed all subjects on the Grade 12 Certificate with 50% or above (Rating score4).
2. Candidates need to have met the admission requirements for the qualification they wish to study.
3.Motivation as included in the application form.
4.Attending a panel interview may be required.
1.7 Terms and Conditions
T he bursary is for one year tuition fees only, textbooks and accommodation is not included.
The bursary value is R75000 and will be paid directly to the Institution and not to the students account.
Textbooks and accommodation is for the students own account.
Should the student not enrol for their preferred qualification at any of the Pearson Institute of Higher Education campuses the bursary will be awarded to another student.
The bursary is only applicable for the Mid-year intake and is not transferable.
