Thomas Gumede Directs Stars. He started from the bottom and now he is here. The actor has directed several reality shows and TV projects before, he upped the levels when he directed his maiden feature film, entitled Inhliziyo Yethu in 2017 starring Kenneth Nkosi, Siyabonga Radebe and Zikhona Sodlaka.

Now he is at it again, as the director of the much loved drama Abomama. The lead actress on Abomama is none other than Nokuthula Ledwaba. The drama features talented stars like Don Mlangeni, Khanyi Mbau, Joyce Skefu and Unati Guma. Focused on four church-going women from Soweto, who inadvertently find themselves committing murder after digging up a duffel bag of stolen money, Abomama is a well-produced crime drama with enough humour and heart to counteract the gritty stuff.
