Thobile Mseleku Warns Her Contacts of Scammers After Her Number Got Hacked. Every single minute, scammers are thinking of more ways to rob people of their hard earned money. Some of the most common ways is by using social engineering to obtain personal information and access to accounts, through tactics like phishing (fake emails/links), vishing (scam calls), and malware installation.

Another way like in Thobile Mseleku’s case is by hacking into your phone. Once they do that, your contacts are in trouble. They start creating stories, asking for urgent money, all the time pretending to be you. The way they want the money to be sent to them is through methods that won’t see them getting traced back. Already with Thobile, all hands are on deck, with the scammers asking her contacts for money.

The reality show star, has acted swiftly warning everyone that her MTN number has been hacked. She pleaded with her contacts to not send anyone money.

My MTN number has been hacked, they are asking people for money on WhatsApp. Ngicela ningabaniki imali please,” Thobile warned.
