Nandi Madida Makes History

Nandi Madida is owning this year’s woman month. She has just announced that she is the first person from Africa to host the Afropunk Brooklyn. She made the announcement on Monday on social media. “I am both ecstatic and honoured to announce that I will be making History as the FIRST AFRICAN to host at Afropunk Brooklyn in New York City 26 & 27 August. Dreams really do come true,” she wrote.

Afropunk Brooklyn 2017 takes place on August 26th and 27th at Commodore Barry Park for a day of live music and good vibes. The festival has expanded beyond Brooklyn, offering dates in Paris, London, Atlanta and Johannesburg. Afropunk London promises an eclectic line-up and an audience as diverse as the acts they come to see.

Nandi is flying high this year. The petite media personality and singer recently joined Basetsana Kumalo and Jo-Ann Strauss as a Lux brand ambassador. You go gal!!
