Pebetsi Matlaila Takes A Moment to Appreciate Her Mother. No matter how old a person is, they always go to their mothers when the going gets tough. Mothers, as we see in Pebetsi Matlaila’s case, are quick to offer help, when their children are going through the most.
Just like many people out there Pebetsi has had her fair share of drama. One incident she opened up about on social media, is her near death experience when giving birth to her child. The Skeem Saam actress and radio personality took to her Instagram timeline sharing a series of images documenting her and her daughter’s recovery while in ICU and the terrifying moments before.
Recently Pebetsi opened up the hardships she endured with regards to her marriage. She met her now ex-husband right at the tail end of the Covid-19 pandemic. The man was her rebound after Pebetsi’s heart was broken by the love of her life. She said she just allowed her ex-husband to marry her because she was pregnant with his child and he was remorseful. Pebetsi suffered abuse in the marriage, which lasted only 9 months.
Among other things, Pebetsi was involved in a car accident, which almost cost her life. She also had to endure not making money while on maternity leave, and also battled with depression and anxiety. Through it all though, her mom was right by her side. Pebetsi states that, her mom even gave her the car she was using, when things were rough for her. Mommy dearest was 60 at the time, but had to make that sacrifice for her daughter.

Or wait for Mother’s day to Appreciate her.❤,” Pebetsi said.
