Every now and then, the two shows us just how special their friendship is. A year ago, Pearl paid tribute to Emtee by channeling him. She nailed it with the fake tattoos, hairstyle and overall Emtee’s swag. Back in 2020, Pearl revealed in a tweet that Emtee once invited her on a chattered plane and went all out to make sure she arrived home safely.
This friendship all started when Emtee dropped his second single from Avery called Pearl Thusi in December 2014. In the song, Emtee speaks highly of Pearl, from her beauty to her being an independent woman. The media personality, talented actress and DJ, is also featured on the video of the song, which is pretty cool. From there on, we have seen their friendship blossom into this cute thing, we see today.
The other day, Emtee took to Instagram to speak highly of his friend Pearl. The multi-award winning rapper and actor thanked Pearl for allowing him to do a song about her a decade ago.
“@pearlthusi thank you for your blessings and giving me the green light. I was so nervous. Didn’t think you’d like the song or Me 🤭,” Emtee said.
In her response Pearl said, “Thank you my love ❤️ and thank you for being man enough to celebrate all the women in your life so powerfully. It takes a real man to celebrate women. Thank YOU!”
