Lupita Nyong’o To Star In A Film Based On Trevor Noah’s Born A Crime Memoir. Lupita Nyong’o will star in movie as Patricia, the mother to the local comedian Trevor Noah. The film will be based on Noah’s autobiography “Born a Crime: Stories from a Southern African childhood.”

Patricia was an important person in Noah’s young life. Patricia was shot in the head by his stepfather but survived. Noah will produce the project with his Ark Angel Productions with Norman Aladjem, Derek Van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin of Mainstay Entertainment, as well as Nyong’o.
