Permanent Part-Timer Opportunity at adidas Access Park, Kenilworth

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Deliver excellent adidas customer service by welcoming shoppers, understanding their needs and helping them find suitable products.
• Product Recommendations: Assist customers with choosing the right products by explaining product features, technical information and available options.
• Sales Support: Use effective selling techniques, including add-on sales and product recommendations, to improve the customer experience and help achieve store sales targets.
• Sales Transactions: Process regular sales transactions when required, including cash, credit card and cheque payments, while following the correct store procedures.
• Point-of-Sale Operations: Develop proficiency in the point-of-sale system and ensure that all transactions are processed accurately and in line with company policies.
• Stockroom and Sales Floor Support: Assist with moving products from the stockroom to the sales floor when additional stock or replenishment is needed.
• Product Receiving and Ticketing: Support product ticketing activities and check relevant paperwork against items received to help maintain accurate stock information.
• Merchandise Displays: Assist with setting up and maintaining product displays according to instructions and schedules provided by the store management team.
• Store Housekeeping: Maintain general housekeeping standards by keeping the store, sales floor and customer areas clean, tidy and presentable.
• Company Asset Protection: Safeguard company property, merchandise and equipment by following established procedures and remaining alert to potential risks.
• Loss Prevention: Monitor activity on the sales floor, report suspicious behaviour and follow the required security procedures and SLAP guidelines.
• Customer Greeting: Welcome customers as they enter the store and assist with initial enquiries. During busy periods, provide dedicated support at the store entrance when required.
• Product Knowledge Development: Participate in in-store and digital training programmes provided by adidas, including Atticus and AREA, to improve product knowledge and understand role expectations.
• Store Performance Awareness: Become familiar with Power BI tools to understand store performance, identify best-selling products and gain insight into products with low or no sales.
• Policy and Procedure Compliance: Follow all store policies and procedures while supporting management with daily maintenance and operational activities.

Requirements and Skills

• Matric Certificate: Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Retail Experience: Between 0 and 1 year of retail experience is required. Previous experience in fashion retail will be an advantage but is not essential.
• Passion for Retail: Candidates should have a genuine interest in retail and enjoy helping customers find products that suit their needs.
