Big Brother’s Thato Mokoena Bags A Major Award Nomination. She is one personality who has shown the benefits of taking part in a reality TV show. Since being on Big Brother Mzansi Season III, Thato Mokoena‘s career in the entertainment industry has soared.
Before being in Biggie’s house, Thato was already trying to penetrate the industry through her TikTok videos. Immediately after her eviction from the Big Brother house a year ago, Thato hit the ground running. She has so far done TV presenting (Home Ground), hosted major events, bagged ambassadorship gigs, grown as a YouTube content creator and tapped into entrepreneurship. Her fan base also continues to grow as a lot of people are impressed by her consistency.
In December 2022, Thato announced that she was spreading her wings as an actress with a new role on The River. On the multi-award winning telenovela, Thato has been cast to play a young lady by the name Nthabiseng Malete. This year, she added musician to her any amazing talents. Her song, Ngothando featuring two other artists, Malungelo and Ray T dropped in March.
Now her hard work, is being recognized with an award nomination. Thato has been nominated for Social Media Influencer of the Year, in the 2023 Basadi in Music Awards. She will battle it out with Pamela Mtanga, Nelisiwe Sibiya, Tshidi Kekana Manganye and Mandz Not Hot.
