Statement! Phindile Gwala Accepts Criticism After Allegedly Attacking A Woman At A Nightclub. Being a celebrity is a two sided sword. One minute you are being praised, and the next moment you are dragged on social media. No matter how good you have been doing, one scandal can cost you your fan base, or worse, your career. The celebrity who is going through exactly that is Phindile Gwala. The Imbewu actress allegedly attacked a certain Nompilo Beryl Mkhize outside a nightclub in Pietermaritzburg.

According to Ms Mkhize, she was outside the Cubana club in Pietermaritzburg taking random pictures when Gwala allegedly accused her of taking pics of her. Gwala who was not impressed, by this, then snatched Mkhize’s phone, deleted the first video and then smashed the phone. It didn’t end there though, after smashing the phone Mkhize said, Gwala grabbed her and scratched her on the face. She quickly got into a car of a well-known person as they drove away.

As soon as Mkhize shared her story on social media, Gwala trended. A lot of people dragged her saying, she should pay for what she did to the young lady. Mkhize went on to open a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and malicious damage to property which could see her serving up to 10 years behind bars. As you know the power of social media Gwala, had no choice but to address the issue. She took to social media to appreciate every kind of criticism, and the support she has received. She also extended her appreciation to Mkhize, and those close to her.

Over the past few days, the people of this country expressed their feelings following an unfortunate incident involving myself and Ms Nompilo Mkhize at Cubana in Pietermaritzburg. It is with a sense of humility that I express my gratitude for the constructive criticism, guidance and support I have received from the people of this country of all ages.Equally, I express my sincere appreciation to the family and friends of my sister Ms Nompilo Mkhize,” Gwala said.

As we move forward, I wish my sister Ms Nompilo Mkhize all the best in her studies. I am inspired by her passion for education. Her determination to excel will take her places…..Once I again I wish to thank the Mkhize family, my family and the people of South Africa for their support and guidance over the past few days,” Gwala concluded.
